From Splat Marks to Canvas
"There's always an experiment happening."
From structural to dreamy, Gigi's abstract paintings arise through experiments with drawing, color, texture, and shape, as well as from residual marks on splat papers (pictured above). One day, as she was removing the papers from underneath her small art journals, she noticed the imprints on them, and thought, "Why not paint sections of these - much larger?". Inspired, she now creates on large surfaces using acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, and inks.
Gigi is grateful for all of her mentors. She believes we stand on the shoulders of those who've come before us. Her work blends nature, art, and science, reflecting her diverse experiences in travel, software engineering, manual therapy, and anatomy education. She enjoys watching a painting unfold, moment by moment, revealing new layers, and solving creative puzzles as they arise.

Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision.
So write and draw and play and dance and live as only you can.
